are Hyperlocal, Design-led, and Curated. Each Figment Art House is a public 'plein air' antique shophouse for our member-patrons to live, work and play in.
Figment's interior designs, made in collaboration with local artists, seek to pay homage to the storied exterior facades of our heritage shophouses. We believe each Art House should be a 'total work of art' that provides a strong sense of place to anchor our nomadic global lifestyles.
We collaborate with local artists, vendors, and craftsmen to furnish each shophouse, transforming them into liveable 'works of art'. Figment's Art Houses are inspired by the local context and never fail to make us shophouse-proud.
We evaluate all shophouses holistically using 108 rigorous criteria to select only the top 2% that meet our 'Art House' standards. Our design process preserves their stories, form, and structure to revitalise houses and neighbourhoods.
We handpick our creative community of like-minded members who are passionate, committed, and give back to the neighbourhood. Through our calls and in-person viewings, we curate our incoming members to ensure compatibility with their respective unique shophouses. Figment aims to foster new connections and inspire creativity among a self-selecting group of culturally curious members.
Our Hosts curate arts and cultural events for our members, showcasing our local creatives and the bohemian underbelly of Singapore. Our unique approach values cultural diversity and fosters belonging, with events ranging from art installations to music festivals and pop-up local markets.

Figment is making shophouse history, identifying vernacular architectural styles and sharing stories behind the craftsmanship of our historic artisans. Our placemaking philosophy embraces the "total work of art" that is the shophouse, including its unique history and cultural significance to Singapore.
