Take a room, a floor or a whole conserved house, across eight Singapore neighbourhoods. All-inclusive, on a three-month minimum.
Homes for rent by neighbourhood runs from a single room to the whole building. Most people take a room. Some take the house — a team that would rather be under one roof than scattered across four postcodes, a family arriving together, a group on a fixed engagement that wants an address it can run things from.
Figment has more than thirty conserved houses across eight areas, so the question is usually which street rather than whether anything is free.
Worth picturing properly. Rooms stack over two or three floors around a central airwell, the frontage is narrow, and you share party walls with the neighbours. Everyone passes through the same kitchen and living room several times a day. For a group that already knows each other that is the appeal rather than the compromise — the building makes you overlap. For people who want to come home and see nobody, a studio is the better answer.
Jalan Besar has the largest cluster and the most lines within a walk. River Valley and Emerald Hill are the quieter, more central options. Geylang puts five houses on one street, which works when a group is bigger than a single building. Joo Chiat suits people who want the east and the sea. Tanjong Pagar is a walk from the CBD. Bukit Timah is the greenest, and Chinatown is a single house on Mosque Street.
Rooms are all-inclusive of WiFi, utilities and weekly housekeeping of the shared areas. Whole-house arrangements are quoted on the house, the number of rooms and your dates, and are worth raising two or three months ahead — a building only comes free when its current residents happen to roll off in the same window. Every stay runs on Singapore’s three-month minimum, which the Urban Redevelopment Authority sets at three consecutive months, with one month’s notice after that and no agent fee.
For private units instead of shared houses, see studio apartments by neighbourhood. To see every building at once, browse the houses.

A whole house means one point of contact, one monthly figure and one set of house rules you write yourselves. Nobody in the group ends up chasing the internet bill.

A house only comes free when its current residents happen to roll off in the same window. Whole-house requests are worth raising early rather than two weeks out.
