Become a Figment Artist Resident! Our Curator, advised by a curatorial council, carefully selects and commissions artists using 15% of Figment's rental proceeds. The fantastic resultant artworks will find a final showcase across our Art Houses.
All Artist Residents have access to Figment Club House and a standing invite to our curated events. The Figment Club House is perfect for artists and aesthetes alike to connect and create.

Making a space a home is an inherently collaborative process – no one placemakes on their own. At Figment, we co-create our shophouse experiences with a diverse range of local artists, artisans, and architects to infuse spaces with works that leads us back to vibrancy and community spirit. This is our commitment – that we want to situate ourselves firmly as a business for good.
We recognise that when we take stewardship of shophouses, we may inevitably displace people living or doing business there. We also recognise that not everyone may be able to afford living in our boutique homes. Through our Placemaking Programme, we seek to give back in a material way – back towards the creators who placemake and represent so many communities in Singapore. Another way we honour this commitment to the arts is in our commitment to hiring local creative staff as part of our Figment team – Figlets as we affectionately call them. We’ve had historians, actors, singers, and ballet dancers all part of our roster. We also have a full time in-house curator on our team.
Our commitment to community and artistic practice is in our DNA, and will continue to be for as long as Figment is placemaking boutique homes.
