House Rong is the Case Study home of local multidisciplinary artist, Rong Choy, who is a part of Figment’s Club House Creator Residency program. The artist encapsulates the essence and playfulness of nature with vibrantly painted and crafted wood panels into a visual representation of her mindscape.
Enveloped within the Art Deco-styled 1939 building is House Rong from the 3rd floor upwards. The common areas and rooms are embellished with local multidisciplinary artist Rong Choy’s playful nature-inspired installations that correlate with the interiors’ colour palettes and wood furnishings. Each floor has a common area accompanied by amenities such as a kitchenette, shared bathroom and a washing machine that is shared among 3 rooms, each inviting and warm in its nature. Members and their guests may also lounge at House Rong’s rooftop area for an intimate gathering.
