About the House
- 10-15 minutes to CBD by car, depending on traffic
- 20 minutes by public transport
Inspired by the classic British-Colonial era of the famous Raffles Hotel and the tropical rainforests of the Malay Peninsula, recharge in a calm and rejuvenating environment in our Peninsula House. As a corner shophouse, an abundance of soft natural light fills the home at any time of the day. Nestle into the lush greenery of foliage, from handwoven rattan settees to black-and-white colonial style blinds elegantly designed for a restful stay, with plenty of interesting corners in the home to explore.
This is an iconic and beautifully conserved Late-style shophouse along Petain Road. While the facade features ornamental European architectural styles and motifs of the East, the interior is an eclectic mix of styles that feels unique and personal.
Peninsula House is part of a capsule collection of shophouses designed by The Linger Collection.
About the Neighbourhood
Diversity at every corner.
Petain Road is located at the cusp of Little India and Jalan Besar. Home to people of diverse ages, ethnicities, abilities, and nationalities, it’s a colourful district during the day and the night. As one member said, “When you walk out the door, there are three different directions and three different experiences. Straight ahead is the buzz of Little India. To the left is the hipster area of Jalan Besar. And to the right is the relatively quiet and residential streets of Farrer Park.”
