What Figment members get up to on the weekend

How do our members set the mood for a leisurely weekend? Community manager Tara checks in with the different homes to find out.

It would seem that across our homes, there is no such thing as a typical weekend. Our members are up to all sorts of adventures—in the kitchen, in the neighbourhood, and beyond. Here’s how some members spent their first weekend in September.

So we’ve got some serious cooks in our kitchens

Chris made full use of the fully-equipped common kitchen, working several stations to prepare this colourful multi-course meal.

And avid home chef James kicked back with a relaxed AND hearty dinner with wine for two!

& those who like to entertain…

Ilma prepared a stunning cheese board and light bites to host a tea sesh with friends, while Denis and his guest enjoyed a toast of a special bottle of red in his lush tropical-themed living room.

some others rolled up their sleeves and G.S.D.

For long-time Figment member Ka Ming, Sundays are for laundry (All Figment homes are equipped with washers and dryers for loads of fun at your convenience!)

& some went exploring nearby…

Mike and Maya stepped out to visit local plant nursery Far East Flora to pick out some succulents for the home. Their green adventure was followed by a lunch to match – lei cha fan at Thunder Tea Rice in Joo Chiat.

*A dish with Hakka roots, lei cha fan, also known as Thunder Rice Tea, is a local favourite among vegetarians. It comprises a savoury brew of tea made from oolong and other herbs that produce lei cha’s signature green appearance. The tea broth is eaten with rice and an assortment of vegetables.

… only to end up in a shophouse again.

Colin checked into popular cocktail bar Native, which is coincidentally also a shophouse establishment. Pictured here is Colin’s drink of choice, the Pineapple Arrack. Yum!
