About the House
- 10 minute drive to CBD
- 25-35 minutes by public transport
Alawi House, named after the Arabic term for the celestial and heavenly, is inspired by Islamic culture, design, and reverence for nature; if you were wondering, the rooms in Alawi House are named after Arabic names of stars.
The works presented in Alawi House are sourced from various NFT projects. Purchased from the Foundation (FND) marketplace, the artworks showcase in the common areas depict subterranean environments beyond this world while the rooms display calmer scenes of sunrises and moonrises, bringing back breath into the visual experience. Alawi House features 5 rooms across two shophouse floors, with ample common area space on each floor.
About the Neighbourhood
River Valley is a vibrant neighbourhood with trendy cafes, pubs and restaurants dotted around Robertson Quay, Clarke Quay and Mohamed Sultan. Alongside its neighbouring areas, it is a treasure trove of culture and cuisine, where you can immerse yourself in the sights of the past and tastes of the present. Today, it boasts its reputation as one of Singapore’s food havens.
The road itself is home to several conserved shophouses and national monuments like the Hong San See temple, and is a 3-minute walk to Robertson Walk, a waterfront area by Singapore River with a variety of restaurants and European-style square, and also a 3-minute walk away from UE Square, a retail hub offering a grocery store, cafes, restaurants, clothing, services and events. Fort Canning MRT (Downtown Line) is a 5-minute walk away.
